Inside Sales - US Industries


Your role and responsibilities

Prosecute cold and warm inbound marketing leads generated from trade shows and campaigns via telephone, email or other channels Source new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting as needed Understand customer needs and pre qualify leads for product fit. Recommend appropriate solution for customer requests Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives, sales manager or partner for further qualification In conjunction with sales operations, audit of data to ensure the lead opportunity booking relationship is held intact in SFDC (salesforce.com) Contribute to market or territory research team with channel managers to monitor pipeline and performance of leads to help identify new TAM (Technical Account Manager​) In conjunction with sales operations, audit of data to ensure the lead opportunity booking relationship is held intact in SFDC Maintain and expand pipeline of prospects across territories, channels and direct Prepares and analyzes regular reports of pipeline status and campaign performance using available tools and collecting additional relevant information Tracks regular sales performance against the target and shares insights with the management Collaboration/Leadership: Coordinates with sales and/or channels teams to increase lead conversion rates Set and meet goals and objectives for new business, new customers and new partners to support increased sales performance goals Acts as owner for lead conversion process Serve as a “Deal Manager” to create and maintain clear and consistent internal communication throughout the sales process Identify tasks in the sales process to automate, making the sales cycle efficient for representatives Partner with sales operations to identify key KPIs (Key Performance Indicators​) for measurement of deal progress Serve as coordinator to ensure deals do not get delayed in proposals, legal, factory or product, to ensure deals move smoothly through the process Team player, with a growth minded view of success

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of work experience
  • Prior experience with demand campaigns, lead management, sales of capital equipment (preferably industrial automation or robotics) and market/segment research
  • Additional skills required in market intelligence, go to market strategy, proven record of influencing sales growth, organizational skills and process definition, lead qualification and conversion to opportunity, marketing and lead automation, general sales practices
  • Familiarity with sales operations, channel sales and resellers
  • Familiarity with salesforce, Microsoft Office and sales tools
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
