Facilities Maintenance Engineer

The role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide the necessary skill sets required to perform the maintenance and repairs to preserve the physical assets of the Building, Systems, and Equipment under the direction of the Facility and Operations Managers.

The Ideal candidate has strong electrical and facilities maintenance experience in addition to having a Universal Refrigerant license. Candidate must enjoy working as part of a team, within a structured environment, with a strong emphasis on trouble shooting, safety, planning and documentation.

Job duties will include using computer programs to track work, manage facilities equipment, order parts and coordinate maintenance. Monitor the operation and make pre-emptive adjustments on refrigeration equipment, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, hot water systems; chilled water; boilers; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment (any infrastructure systems and equipment that may be applicable). Special projects occasionally come up, including scheduled maintenance shutdowns. Candidate must be flexible to off-shift and on call support as needed.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus. Basic computer literacy required; ability to use Microsoft programs like Outlook, Word and Excel is a plus; the job requires using other proprietary or specialized programs (on-the-job training provided). Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
