HVAC Compliance Inspector
What is your day to day?
Inspect and report on commercial HVAC installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance compliance to industry and/or ASHRAE standards.
Develop auditing and documentation procedures for HVAC inspections.
Perform root cause analysis on failed HVAC equipment and determine appropriate corrective actions to minimize future failures.
Review commissioning data to determine no discrepancies.
Evaluate, train, teach and coach a workforce of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians on compliance best practices as needed.
May be required to work exposed to heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight and night-time hours
Desired experience and technical skills Required:
10+ years experience in commercial building systems with a primary focus on HVAC
Comprehensive knowledge of Safe Work practices & PPE especially regarding energized work, working at heights and confined spaces.
Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take or suggest corrective action.
Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs; including Excel, Word, Outlook
Strong attention to detail and desire to produce high quality results
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred experience and skills:
Experience mentoring or teaching technical HVAC knowledge to technicians
Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC
EPA 608 Universal Certification
