Bluepoint Games is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Character Animator to join our esteemed team. Are you passionate about collaborating with top-tier talents to shape groundbreaking genre-defining game experiences? If so, we invite you to embark on this exciting journey with us.
In this role, your expertise will be vital in bringing to life the characters, creatures, and game world.
You will adeptly balance aesthetic objectives with technical intricacies by leveraging your experience in prototyping, developing, combat implementation, locomotion, and other gameplay animations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create high quality gameplay animation utilizing motion capture and key-framing techniques.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow team members.
- Thrive in a team-centric atmosphere. Work collaboratively with fellow animators, designers, and engineers to resolve gameplay challenges while maintaining the artistic vision.
- Contribute to the creative process with original ideas and inspiration.
- Be able to give constructive feedback about animation tools.
- Respond promptly to feedback from leads and directors, clearly communicating the required time for implementation and demonstrating a thorough understanding of the feedback provided.
- Research, analyze, and shoot reference as needed to plan for the assignment.
- Collaborate with leads and producers to comprehensively understand, strategize, and communicate project needs and scope of work.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- A strong demo reel that demonstrates expert knowledge of fundamental animation principles, acting skills, and the ability to create a full range of life-like performances from the subtle to the dramatic and powerful.
- Great depth of knowledge in keyframe animation.
- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Maya, animation and motion capture workflows.
- At least 5 years of experience in game development..
- The ability to communicate effectively one-on-one with all team members and within group settings.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to break down tasks and assignments and prioritize them into workable pieces on a daily, weekly, and project length basis.
- Work independently and conscientiously with minimal supervision.
