Account Manager

Job Purpose

The Account Manager proactively ensures high client retention and maximum revenue growth by working closely with project, account and solutions teams to coordinate and execute strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, and growth programs across interconnected accounts.

RWS Regulated Industries is a highly specialized division of RWS, a world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services. The Regulated Industries division is focused on developing translation and content management solutions tailored to address the complex regulatory environment in force with premium sectors such as Life Sciences and Healthcare (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, CROs, healthcare companies), Finance (banks, asset management companies, insurance providers, fintech) and Legal (law firms, audit companies).  

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Client Interaction and Relationship Management: Proactively interact with client contacts and key decision-makers to monitor service delivery, assess opportunities, and ensure client success.
  • Business Development and Growth: Identify and qualify growth opportunities, promote RWS services, and manage annual portfolio targets to achieve growth.
  • Solution Development: Partner with clients in think-tank scenarios to develop custom solutions for new challenges.
  • Operational Coordination: Work closely with Operations to manage gross margin targets and address issues, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Client Retention and Satisfaction: Ensure the retention, growth, and satisfaction of accounts by understanding and addressing clients’ needs.
  • Competitive Bidding: Participate in competitive bidding events, support sales activities, and prepare responses.
  • Presentation of Solutions: Work with Solutions team to prepare and present new services and solutions to clients.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews: Plan, prepare, and conduct quarterly business reviews with key accounts.
  • Service Agreement Management: Maintain and monitor written service agreements and pricing information for accounts.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop, implement, review, and update Strategic Account Plans to drive annual growth objectives.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Ability to provide clear direction, goals, and objectives respectfully.
  •  Ability to make decisions and work collaboratively to solve challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing work demands and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, including strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365/Teams).
  • Understanding and demonstrating client-facing technology solutions.
  •  Ability to review, analyze, and manage the implementation of new agreements and amendments

Base Pay

 

$80,000 - $100,000 plus a  possible commission of around $50,000 / year .

Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
