Cloud SRE, Senior Engineer
TITLE: Cloud Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Senior Engineer
LOCATION: Standard Chartered Bank, New York, NY
DUTIES: Run Cloud Platform across Global Regions and ensure consistency in the use of Cloud Services. Ensure that Standard Chartered cloud environments are consistent with Bank audit, compliance requirements, and design ethos. Ensure that all relevant platforms are being efficiently and appropriately supported in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) toolchains, including identifying opportunities for toolchain and operational practice improvement and refinement, and ensuring that “infrastructure as code” deployment mechanisms are common and portable across Cloud and non-Cloud environments. Perform Cloud platform estate management. Handle operational design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of event and audit logging frameworks and systems for cloud environments. Support adoption of containers and container control frameworks. Perform Incident Management for issues related to Cloud Services, act as senior escalation and control point for Cloud Support, and drive service restoration and stability during significant incidents. Interact with internal customer and/or functional peer group managers. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Employer will accept three (3) years of university-level study plus two (2) years of experience in meeting the Bachelor’s degree requirement. Must have four (4) years of experience with: Deploying and controlling infrastructure in the cloud environment, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure Cloud Platforms; Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practice using tooling and techniques - Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform; Data analytics and monitoring tools - Splunk, ELK, Grafana; UNIX/Linux server administration and workload virtualization, including hypervisors and networking; Automation using Python, Interacting with rest APIs solution, and designing based on teams requirements; Developing self-service jobs in Rundeck orchestrator; Managing infrastructure code and developing custom modules via Hashicorp Terraform; Handling incident, problem, and change managements (ITIL), acting as senior escalation and control point, and driving service restoration and stability during significant incidents; AWS elastic Kubernetes services deployment and support of critical financial applications; and Setting up custom monitoring solutions for AWS services including Lambda, EC2, Direct Connect, and VPC (networking).

Red hat Certified Systems Administrator
ITIL Certified foundation
SALARY: $156,750 - $200,552/year
HOURS: Full time; Mon – Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
