Fac Underwriting Coordinator/Assistant

Your challenge is to make an impact by supporting the high energy/high visibility client facing teams of the organization.

About the Role:

You would work closely with Underwriting and Business Service colleagues on your team. This includes sometimes engaging with other functions like accounting, claims, legal, and IT to exchange ideas and solve problems. You would also be responsible for overall business coordination of an assigned business segment, including ensuring statutory and internal control guidelines are met.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide underwriter support for non-client facing activities.
  • Ensure data quality and compliance with internal standards & guidelines and staturory requirements.
  • Enter contractural deal information into systems for consumption by other functions, such as Finance, Accounting, and Claims.

About the Team:

We are a friendly and diverse group of individuals located in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with varying levels of experience in the reinsurance industry. We support North America Engineering, Property and Casualty Reinsurance teams and units in delivering on their core mandates. We are part of a global team called Reinsurance Business Operations, and we work closely with our colleagues all over the world.

About You:

Essential

  • Minimum of two year associate degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Competent in Microsoft 365 suite, i.e., Power BI, Sharepoint, Powerpoint and Word
  • Excellent analytical skills, data savviness and strong attention to details

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrates willingness to seek new knowledge and tasks, questions current processes, and able to suggest improvements.
  • Experience within the (Re)insurance industry
  • Ability to complete work independently or in cooperation with others on well-defined tasks in a project and will define some tasks independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - Reliable and self-reliant task manager with strong customer focus

The position will be located in our Kansas City, MO office. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average.

This role will be unable to offer any assistance with relocation or visa sponsorship.
