VMLY&R is looking for an experiences Design Director to help lead multidisciplinary teams. They will use Design Thinking to solve problems ranging from interfaces to new business models. Design Directors help set the design vision for projects and guide concepts from prototypes through implementation. They will also lead teams and regularly present work to clients.
Responsibilities
- Sets design vision
- Presents work to clients
- Leads design of systems, products, services, and interfaces
- Leads concept generation
- Conducts research
- Leads design teams
- Leads integration of multidisciplinary team
- Manages client relationships
- Tracking multiple projects
- Tracking trends and technology
- Sets the design vision requires the mastery and integration of several skillsets
Required Experience
- Team leadership experience
- Design Thinking skills and experience
- Advanced communication and collaboration skills
- Advanced presentation skills and experience
- Advanced UX/UI, Service Design, or similar skills & experience, with emphasis on visual design
- Advanced understanding of marketing, advertising, and technology
- Mastery of design software and associated workflows
- 8+ years with design firm, agency, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s in Design or equivalent work experience preferred
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $230,000 . Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
