Catholic Pastor Asks Lesbian Chief Judge To “Not Come To Communion”

A Catholic pastor, father Nolan, asked a lesbian chief judge who has been a life-long parishioner to “respect the church and not come to communion,” ‘Forbes’ reports.

Sara Smolenski was baptised in the church of St. Stephen in East Grand Rapids in Michigan and says that: “I was raised in that church. It created who I am. We were taught ‘love everyone.”

Yet, the pastor of the church has asked her to no longer come forward for the sacrament of Holy Communion because she is married to a woman.

“It was good to see you in church on Sunday. Because you and Linda are married in the state of Michigan, I'd like you to respect the church and not come to communion,” the pastor told her.

“I try to be a good and faithful servant to our Lord Jesus Christ,” Smolenski told 'WOOD-TV'. “My faith is a huge part of who I am. But it is the church that made that faith, the very church where he is taking a stance and saying ‘Ho-ho, not you.”

“How come all these other priests everywhere — good and decent, wonderful priests — they know me and they give me communion?” she asked.
