Location    Warton/Samlesbury (Lancashire)  

Start Date   7th July 2025

BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

What you will be doing As an IM&T Cyber Graduate, your role will be to study and develop skills, knowledge and experience across the spectrum of the Cyber Security discipline the role broadly cover the following in line with the generic role profiles contained in the IM&T Career Framework.

Duties and Responsibilities •    Communicates security risks and issues to business managers and others and then applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments. •    Investigates minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures. Assists users in defining their access rights and privileges. Performs non-standard security administration tasks and resolves security administration issues. •    Develops and maintain relationships with stakeholders to meet their requirements, including one to one liaison, interacting effectively and confidently with the Business Customers, IT Management and Vendors. •    Provides advice and guidance to business stakeholders on security best practice and application of Security policies and processes in order to ensure compliance and/or risk management facilitating delivery of business objectives. •    Supports and implements Information Security controls to protect business information and systems through the development and application of policies, processes and support activities in line with the Security strategy and the programme of work. •    Provides advice and guidance on the application of security grading as appropriate to individual programmes and or functions. •    Delivers communications on the security aspects of projects to programmes, partners and suppliers and continuous improvement to embed an effective security culture.

Skills As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or Business, Finance, Legal or Project Management related subjects.

On commencement of employment you will be paid a one-off non-consolidated lump sum payment of £2,000 (the “Welcome Payment”). Export Control/Security Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
