BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 2-3 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

What you will be doing
As a Graduate Supportability (IPS/ILS) Engineer you will develop an understanding of different aspects of supportability engineering and its application to projects within Maritime Services. Working alongside experienced Engineers you will participate in engineering analysis and assist in the creation and subsequent delivery of contractual deliverables and progress recording & reporting.
You will develop a breadth of knowledge and experience in supportability engineering including conducting and analysing maintenance requirements, defining spares and tools to support the maintenance, generating task information and relevant IPS/ILS outputs contributing to providing a cost-effective support solution.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage own tasking to meet task deadlines, quality standards and cost
• Participate in Learning from Experience workshops
• Screening and integration of engineering information into the project-controlled toolsets, thereby helping to ensure the integration and accuracy of the ILS dataset is maintained
• Ensure that any Product Safety issues observed during your work are raised at the earliest opportunity
• Support review and assessment of conformance of OEM technical information against the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) etc.
• Comply with statutory requirements, regulations and company procedures, including SHE and ITAR
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics.
