BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Industrial Placement Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-5 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

What you will be doing
On an Industrial Placement, over 12 months, you will work closely with the Product & Training Services Team to undertake a range of software engineering activities in order to gain knowledge and experience in the application of software engineering techniques, practices and approaches as part of software team within the Product & Training Services area of BAE Systems Maritime Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Produce and maintain a software design to meet a set of software requirements.
• Use a software design to produce a deliverable software solution.
• Test a software solution to prove that is meets its design aims and requirements.
• Maintain a software solution to address reported defects and/or add new functionality.
• Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Maritime Services software related processes.
• Gain and apply knowledge, skills and experience under close technical and managerial control.
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Software or Computer Related STEM Degree.
To be considered for this role you must be returning to university to complete your degree.
