Work days/Shift Hours – if applicable: 4:00 AM - 4:30 PM / 2-2-3 Flex Schedule. 
Compensation: Starting at $21.75 - $28.00 / hour based on experience. Additional local incentives may apply such as an extra week of pay, referral bonuses and more.

 

General Purpose

The role of a Production Technician is to ensure production equipment and systems are operated and maintained such that they are available to deliver quality products according to schedule requirements and according to safety, environmental, and health procedures and regulations. This is accomplished by managing and leading the basic equipment care of Production equipment through operating, cleaning, sanitizing, lubing and inspection of production equipment and processes. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train, coach and provide day to day work assignment direction to team members as needed.  
  • Act as backup support for warehouse supervisor as needed as well as backup for vacations and call-ins.  
  • Responsible for moving product or materials in a warehouse or production environment using power tools and vehicles. Load or unload designated trailers and/or route trucks.  
  • Operate industrial vehicles and equipment to move, restock and repack product ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation are maintained.  
  • Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished product to designates work area.  
  • Build orders according to load tickets using industrial power equipment or manually lifting as needed.  
  • As needed, verify and ensure inbound and outbound load for quality and accuracy by physically counting product of vehicle. Enter inventory data in handheld or standard equipment.  
  • Maintain required records according to record retention schedule.  
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.  
  • Adhering to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.  
  • Participate in AIB and GMP audits. 

Qualifications

Education:   

  • High School Diploma or GED  
  • Technical school training or equivalent experience in basic maintenance, cleaning and sanitation, and inspection and lubrication on machinery 

Experience:  

  • 1-3 Years of manufacturing experience with machine operations and general machine sanitation, cleaning, inspection, and maintenance preferred 
  • Will require ability to calculate percentages and basic algebra calculations.  
  • English language reading comprehension and writing 
  • Ability to use a PC with MS Office programs and operation of Touch Screen computers/HMIs 
  • Ability to read gauges, dials, thermometers, rulers, and other digital display devices 
  • Intermediate Maintenance and Lubrication knowledge: 
  • Understanding of the following Mechanical concepts as they are related to autonomous maintenance: mechanical actuators, clutches, brakes, bearings, gears, belts & chain drives, and mechanical couplings. This understanding must include the relationship of energy, work, and power in relationship to these components of machine mechanics. 
  • Understanding of the following Lubrication concepts as they are related to autonomous maintenance: lubrication classifications, characteristics, additives, bearing lubrication, oils and their applications, general purpose greases, special purpose greases, lubrication systems & methods, automatic lubrication methods, lubricant storage and handling, and lubricant management.  
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written schedules, flow charts, and flow diagrams 
  • Follow standard trouble shooting and root cause analysis methods 
  • Ability to engage in continuous learning activities 
  • Ability to work in structured team environment
