Translation Intern
Job Purpose
RWS Germany is seeking German translation interns to join our international in-house team and deliver high quality translations for well-known multinationals.
We are recruiting recent graduates in Linguistics / Translation / Languages to join our In-house Translation team as full time interns for 6 months.
If you would like to gain experience in the translation industry, and you have strong communication skills, this opportunity is tailored to you. You will learn how to manage translation projects and be responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality on time and within budget.
Job Overview
Our offer:
• A full-time, paid internship (40 hrs/week) for 6 months.
• Flexible working hours. The position can be based fully remote (anywhere in Germany), 100% office-based in Leipzig or Stuttgart, or in a hybrid role.
• Training program to develop different skills, with loads of key learnings for your professional career.
• Start date: 1st October 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translating and post-editing texts from English into German.
• Helping with the coorination of localization projects.
• Guaranteeing quality according to our standard procedures.
Skills & Experience:
• You have native-level proficiency in German and English
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in translation or a second language (English, or French)
• Ability to translate content from English (any other language such as French is a plus)
• Interest in pursuing a career in the localization industry.
• Computer proficient and open to continuously growing and learning with new tools and applications.
• You have a good eye for detail and can work efficiently.
• You are open to feedback and you like working in a team.
