Department Description:

This 12-week summer internship position is in the Translational Disease Modeling group within the research and Development organization at Sanofi, a global pharmaceutical company. The group focuses on Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) approaches that support critical decision making throughout the various phases of drug development by modeling disease biology and therapeutic response. These types of mechanistic models can be applied to improve our understanding of disease biology, the natural history of disease progression, drug kinetics and dynamics and the impact of drug therapy on clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

The graduate intern, working with Sanofi QSP modeling scientists, will develop disease modeling platforms. The individual will be involved in model development: coding, testing hypothesis, reviewing literature and assumptions, and presenting modeling results to Sanofi colleagues.

About you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Systems/Quantitative Biology, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi. 

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

  • Must have permanent US work authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a scientific programming language (e.g., MATLAB, R, Julia).

  • Experience with differential equations

  • Systems biology, oncology, or immunology background helpful.

  • Data science and computational experience.

  • Able to work independently and in collaboration with others.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Desire to work within a team environment.
