Finance plays a critical role in supporting our business leaders in their commercial and steering decision making. It provides them with relevant business and performance insights and data analytics and support them in the strategic planning.

About the Programme

We are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills, who are eager to learn, broaden their knowledge and expertise and want to make a difference. If you are interested in joining us and have a Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree with up to 3 years professional experience – we invite you to apply to our graduates@swissre programme which officially starts on 1 September 2025.

The programme offers you the chance to join the dynamic, fast-moving world of a leading risk knowledge organisation. Over an 18-month period, you will receive on- and off-the-job training, including a job rotation that gives you the opportunity to work across different lines of business and departments and collaborate with different expert functions and teams across the world.

About the Role

L&H Reinsurance is a complex business, and we need talented candidates that can build expert knowledge of what drives our earnings across the varied markets and products we cover:

  • Understand the earnings drivers by working closely with functions across the company, from our client executives to our actuarial and pricing colleagues
  • Communicate our results to stakeholders, enabling them to understand their business and how it is performing
  • Undertake deep dive analysis to uncover insights and review transactions that will support commercial decision making
  • Build mid-term financial plans for the Market Units

About the Team

Our team has the broader mandate of FP&A EMEA and Performance Management L&H Re. This makes it the go-to function for explanation of EMEA's financial performance but also for the L&H Business Unit with topics ranging from performance management, financial steering and industry insights while also advising on strategy, transactions, and other business priorities. The team is part of the Finance L&H Re and works closely with client managers, other teams in Finance and the wider Swiss Re organisation. Our diverse team consists of members based in London, Zurich, Munich, and Bangalore.

About You

We are looking for candidates that can balance perfection with pragmatism and eager to go beyond process and understand the so what of the information they have:

  • Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset
  • High degree of curiosity and flexibility to thrive in a global and dynamic business environment across various lines of business and regions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Team player and collaborative, engaging and positive person that works constructively with others
  • High degree of personal accountability and ability to perform independently
  • Demonstrated strength to prioritise and deliver results within time constraints
  • Preferred background is a degree with elements of Mathematics, Computer Science, financial modelling, actuarial sciences and finance
