Stiges Pride 2019

Sitges Gay Pride is one of the biggest pride events in Spain and, in fact, the whole of Europe. Sitges Gay Pride first started in 2009, and since then it has continued to provide an incredible celebration by the sea. As per usual, you can look forward to an open-air stage, celebrity guests, international DJs and plenty more. 

Every day around plenty of pride enthusiasts are expected to pack into the narrow streets of this cute seaside town, which lies just 30 minutes south of Barcelona. Already a major gay destination, Sitges Gay Pride really turns the whole town pink for a week. 

Expect a busy schedule over 10 action-packed days. The main Sitges Gay Pride Parade takes place on Sunday, June 9 from 5pm outside KANSAS Chiringuito restaurant. It will run along the seafront, through Passage Maritimo and Passage Ribera, before ending outside the Hotel Calipolis. An estimated 3,000 participants are expected to attend the parade, along with over 20 colorful, homemade floats. The event will conclude with an amazing post-parade party on the seafront - certainly something unique that's not to be missed!  

For another year, the Poseidon Boat Party will also returning to Sitges, and will take place on Thursday, June 6. The catamaran will leave the Sitges Port Aiguadolc, and sail around the Mediterranean and past the Gay Village. Be treated to a DJ, open bar, and BBQ buffet - perfection. On Wednesday June 5, Pride Village will also open, and offer five days' worth of shows and entertainment from 8pm on the seafront. 

Other top events of Sitges Pride include the Splash Opening Pool Party on Wednesday, June 5, and the Gay Beach Party from 12pm to 6pm on June 8. Here you can look forward to DJs, day beds, and direct access to the sea. The momentous celebrations will conclude on Monday, June 10, with a Birthday Closing Party. While specific details are TBC, the entire town of Sitges is set to come alive with a series of different parties scattered throughout the streets. And after all, this will be the tenth birthday party for Sitges Gay Pride, so expect something big.
