Greater Anglia United For National Inclusion Week

We want to make Greater Anglia a truly inclusive place to work, so throughout National Inclusion week we collaborated with other train operating companies who are part of the Railway Unites group. The Railway Unites group is made up of various train companies across the country including LNER, National Rail, Scotrail and more. We hosted an array of webinars on topics such as Psychological Safety, Intersectionality, Allyship and Inclusion Language. Alongside the webinars there was a very honest panel discussion around creating a sense of belonging and the future of inclusion in our business. This session really cemented the commitment that the rail industry has to Diversity and Inclusion. Greater Anglia had lots of internal activity including written articles on ‘feeling excluded’, recommended resources and we hosted a watch along of Dear White People Season 1 Episode 5, an episode which displayed themes of racism, equality, white privilege, and police brutality. The watch along was followed by a facilitated discussion led by our internal comms and learning and development team. We are very proud of all the work we are doing in Greater Anglia to put diversity and inclusion at the top of our agenda and this week really showed our people how important it is to embrace and celebrate each other’s differences.
