Unity: Meet the Pride Network Leaders at Fiserv

Unity, the global Pride network at Fiserv, aims to unite LGBTQ+ associates and their allies across the company in coming together as one powerful community. Unity's leaders are committed to ensuring an inclusive and inspiring work environment for its members by ensuring each of them feels valued, comfortable in bringing their whole and authentic selves to work each day and has opportunities to grow professionally and personally.

Meet some of the Unity leaders who share what Pride Month, celebrated in the month of June in the UK, and what working with pride means to them.

Neil Decker, EMEA Co-Lead, Unity LGBTQ+ Associate Council & EMEA Risk Officer, Enterprise Risk Leadership Team

“Pride Month for me is an opportunity to reflect on the struggles and challenges that those who identify as LGBTQIA+ have had to endure for us to be able to exist in an open and safe environment that many of us enjoy, yet at the same time remember that there are still many places in the world where it is not safe to be ourselves by any measure. We should feel pride every day of who we are, what we have achieved and what we hope to be, both as individuals and as a community. We have to love ourselves before anyone will love us."

Chris Good, EMEA Co-Lead, Unity LGBTQ+ Associate Council & Business Analyst - IT Business Consulting, Enterprise Payments Solutions (EPS/EPP)

“Pride Month is about bringing awareness to the community and the world that LGBTQ+ people throughout time have endured many struggles, just as other minorities, and with the help of our allies alongside, we’ve fought over the years to gain equity and respect. Even though there is still more work to be done, Pride month is also a time for us all to recognise and celebrate how much progress we’ve made and far we’ve come."

Christian “Golo” Golombek, Operations Manager, Customer Services Team in Germany

“Pride Month might be of no interest for me, as I'm "only" an ally. But having a lot of friends in the LGBTQIA+ community and having kids that identify themselves as part of this community it is the other way around: seeing that the diversity is spreading all over the company, my "bubble", my family and in the wider society makes me proud. Seems like I did something right in the education of my 4 kids and shows that the visibility the LGBTQIA+ community is gaining over the last 30 years pays off. Proud to be part of UNITY EMEA, proud that we have the possibility to bring ourselves into the company."

Alex Murphy, Gateway Product Support Specialist, Enterprise & Digital Commerce EMEA

"Pride Month for me is about:

Advocacy. It’s an opportunity to answer questions that educates more people.

Tribute and reflection. Remembering those who have passed but made a huge impact on our community.

Protest. It’s a chance for the community to be visible, and fight for the change that is needed. The first Pride was a riot. Personally, I identify as FTM Transgender and also as Bisexual."

Dan Stubbs, Consultant Engagement Lead, IC Channel

“Pride Month holds immense meaning to me. It represents the celebration of love, acceptance, and the ongoing fight for equality. It's a time to honour LGBTQIA+ individuals, raise awareness about their challenges, and stand in solidarity for their rights. Pride Month inspires me to embrace diversity, create inclusive spaces, and advocate for a society where everyone can freely be their authentic selves.”

Konrad Jeziorski, Director, Customer Care Poland

“Pride Month for me is about having the opportunity to show support and emphasise that we all deserve love and acceptance. It's a month where we celebrate the diversity and remind ourselves that we are all human beings, regardless of our sexual orientation or gender identity. I am proud to work for a company that is a safe and inclusive workplace for everyone.”
