Our Bowring Marsh team is seeking candidates for the following position, based in the Norwich office:

Broker - Workflow and Placement Team

With 10 offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Continental Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, United States and Bermuda, our Bowing Marsh teams cover a range of Insurance products across the following areas: Property, Casualty, Terrorism, North American Property, Life Sciences and Mining.

What can you expect?

  • Fantastic opportunity to provide support to existing London and Norwich based colleagues (including Client Executives) in servicing a large multi-national, multi-product line portfolio of business. The successful candidate will contribute towards and/or meet internal targets in respect of error reduction, quality checking & processing, in relation to all Bowring Marsh product lines.
  • You will work closely with the Insurance Platform ‘Whitespace’. Whitespace is a digital platform for the global insurance marketplace which enables brokers and underwriters to offer, negotiate, place and bind insurance contracts with one other, in a digital form.
  • Please note, there will be no direct client contact in this role as this is a purely market facing position.

We will count on you to:

  • Be fully competent in the use of the Whitespace Platform.
  • Upload endorsements to Whitespace.
  • Email endorsements to offline Underwriters.
  • Deal directly with markets to follow up on outstanding agreements and to build rapport.
  • Work closely with our broking team to build relationships and provide support.
  • Work to help your team achieve internal targets as required.
  • Manage a busy workload using organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Undertake any CII insurance training / qualifications, where this is something you desire.

What you need to have:

  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Quick to take on-board new information, which is technical in nature.
  • Ability to cope with cyclical nature of the business
  • Solid numeracy skills
