The role: Commercial Account Handler

We have a great opportunity to join our Commercial team in Birmingham as a Junior Client Advisor

The Client Advisor will be responsible for servicing their own small dedicated book of clients which will involve managing renewals, invoicing, producing new quotes, upselling/cross selling additional products, mid-term adjustments and generally handling any queries that come through from their dedicated client base in a quick and professional manner ensuring client satisfaction throughout.

This position would be ideal for someone with a background in Customer Service, Call Centre or even someone with great interpersonal skills who has recently graduated and is looking to start a career in Insurance.

There is an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week on average, with flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week.

  • Flexible working is also available with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week in the office.
  • You will get in-depth on the job training and learn about insurance, insurance broking as well as building relationships within the business and outside with our partners.

We will rely on you to:

  • Work with Client Executives to retain and generate new business, by leveraging strategy information and managing contract reviews and midterm changes.
  • Work on all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
  • Manage all day to day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth.
  • Serve as a client contact for day-to-day needs and answer standard or more difficult client questions to improve the client experience.
  • Maintains a detailed understanding of changing market condition and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients

What you need to have: 

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously
  • Fully Competent in Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, administration, and organisational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
