Box is the first company I have worked for where I have truly found a sense of community and safety. The Head of Belonging as well as the rest of the leadership teams and ERC leaders do an excellent job of ensuring everyone feels safe, included and cared for. I feel very lucky to work for Box.
I am so grateful Box has created a warm, welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ Boxers and allies through the Pride Employee Resource Community. Our Box Pride ERC is active and vibrant, creating both internal and external events to build relationships, provide education, build diverse candidate pipelines, and help Boxers thrive. The Pride ERC has been instrumental in helping Box reframe more inclusive values language, build internal resources for transitioning Boxers and their managers/teams to support, and generally raising the awareness of the needs and issues of the community. Box offers strong benefits, some of which are specifically tailored to LGTBQIA+ family forming and other needs. Overall, Box has been a wonderful, inclusive place to grow my skills and career. The culture is truly one of a kind.

As someone who's been a "Boxer" for 6+ years, Box could not have been a better place for me to grow my career. I have been able to learn quickly, try new things and really develop a career from what I once thought was a job. The people here definitely make the job and I am really lucky to work with people who are open minded, kind and generally want to help me. The ERCs helped me find my community outside of my team and I've stayed because of all the opportunities Box has offered me both from a personal and career aspect.
I joined Box with a thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to continue my career in the world of tech. Our transparent leadership team keeps us informed about the realities of being a maturing, publicly traded company, providing valuable insights into our operations; helping us understand how and why we do what we do, and where we commit our resources. Beyond higher level business insights, our executives engage with employees regularly through Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, and create action plans as a direct result of feedback heard in those forums as well as in our annual engagement survey. This includes the creation of our Inclusive Leadership Training, transitioning Boxer benefits, and more.
Looking ahead in my career at Box excites me because there are a bevy of opportunities for growth. I am actively engaged and supported by my manager as a global co-chair for our Pride Resource Community, and in my full-time role, I aim to further refine my project management skills while also expanding my knowledge as an HR pro. Recently, I had the chance to support our Year End Performance Review enablement and communications while a colleague was out on parental leave, which was an incredible learning experience.
One of the things I love most about working at Box is its warm and helpful community. The people here are genuinely supportive, always ready to lend a hand or get involved in Box's vibrant culture and communities. We invest significant time, energy, and resources into making Box a truly great place to work. What fills me with pride every day is knowing that everyone at Box deeply cares—not just about their own success but also about each other's well-being—and extends their support not only within our "walls" but also outwards towards broader communities.
Box has been able to maintain it's small company culture where everyone is welcome and you feel a sense of ownership and pride even as it's grown into a billion dollar company. This is one of the few companies in my career where I have felt 100% comfortable being myself at work and feel like that opens doors for me rather than closing them.
