Position summary & responsibilities

The Asset Management and Development activities at Pimco Prime Real Estate  Europe are organized in two pillars:

Local Innovation & Development team and Asset Management communities.

The internship position is within the Innovation and Development team Europe based in Paris (France).

 

Key functions of the department:

• Prepare the assets for future challenges by defining and implementing strategies for digitalization and smart buildings as well as sustainable development integration (energy and carbon performance improvement)
• Assess recurring market research and technology updates for smart building components
• Assist in the development of uniformed cybersecurity guidelines
• Manage cybersecurity testing on buildings
• Create a set of tools allowing the integration of the 3D model to the smart building dashboard via a dedicated Data Asset Manager
• Collect, structure, and analyse data related to buildings operation and the performance of operators
• Assist in the development of digitalized dashboards
• Support the deployment of the digital and cyber scope of works in the course of the acquisition and financing due diligences.

 

Description of the mission

Reporting to the Team Head of Building Technology and to the Team Head of Technical & Environmental Due Diligences, you will be involved in the group`s strategic approach to Innovation, Digitalization and Sustainability. You will perform this internship in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment and will be working on challenging strategic projects with global reach within the real estate investment and asset management practice linked to:

• Smart building
• Data Science applied to Building Operations and data analytics (to improve main financial KPIs)
• IoT technologies (principles, methods, and protocols)
• Cybersecurity applied to buildings
• Sustainable development applied to real estate

 

You will also work on other tasks as below:

• Contribute to the management of consultants on project-by-project basis
• Support the development of the group`s strategy on selected operational tasks
• Review and contribute to technical designs proposed
• Interface and support various lines of business for matters related to innovation and digitalization
• Bibliographic research, writing notes, preparing slide decks
• Organize, monitor (budget, deadlines) and support strategic projects with the additional project management tasks of:

- Preparation and minutes of meetings and scheduling

- Interface with internal stakeholders and external consultants

- Contribute to internal and external presentations

 

Profile / Skills

• Engineering school (computer science, telecom, electrical or other) with a strong interest in Innovation / Digitalization and sustainable development
• Already experienced in working in a corporate environment (previous internship or full-time experience)
• Telecom, IoT, cybersecurity, smart building experience or strong interest is highly appreciated
• Excellent command of English as well as French and/or German
• Perfect command of office automation tools (Microsoft suite)
• Strong ability to synthesize, conceptualize and solve problems
• Well organized, flexible with availability to travel
