About the Insurance Steering Team

The Insurance Steering Team supports senior Allianz leaders globally across Retail P&C and Commercial Insurance in linking strategy to execution. We combine deep insurance expertise with consulting excellence to steer large‑scale transformation initiatives covering financial performance, claims, underwriting, operations, and digital solutions.

 

As part of this team, you will gain early exposure to senior stakeholders, complex insurance topics, and end‑to‑end transformation work - well beyond a "classic analyst role". From day one, you will work on real Allianz projects, support senior leaders across Claims, Underwriting, and Operations, and see first‑hand how a global insurer steers performance and transformation.

Key responsibilities / You will get to:

 

 

As a Consultant / Senior Consultant, you will work closely with experienced Consultants and Engagement Managers on high‑impact projects across the insurance business. You will:

 

• Support strategy and transformation initiatives across claims, underwriting, finance, operations, and digital solutions
• Analyze financial, operational, and performance data to support value‑based steering decisions
• Prepare structured analyses, management‑ready presentations, and executive materials
• Contribute to project management and steering activities, including milestone tracking and stakeholder coordination
• Support business development activities, including pitch preparation and proposal work
• Assist in client workshops and working sessions with Allianz Operating Entities
• Contribute to internal initiatives, knowledge development, and the continuous improvement of Allianz Consulting offerings

Key requirements / What we hope you bring: 

 

• A Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Economics, Finance, Insurance, Engineering, or a comparable field
• Minimum 1 year of experience and up to 3 years of operational business or management consulting as a Full-Time Employee
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of AI frameworks, leverage AI tools in everyday tasks, and consult clients on AI adoption for successful business transformation
• An affinity for solving problems and a pronounced capacity for analytical thinking
• Your desire to make a difference and your willingness to be coached
• Your enthusiasm for working in a diverse and international team
• An excellent command of English and German that you will use when preparing and delivering presentations and reports. Another European language is a plus
• Your previously acquired skills in PowerPoint and Excel (can perform complex functions)
• Your curiosity and knowledge of insurance and financial services and project or change management tools and techniques

• Motivation, curiosity, a proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership
