Credit Underwriter/Analyst

Job role

We are looking for a Credit Analyst & Underwriter to join our Credit team in the Oslo office and take responsibility for independent analysis and underwriting of our Norwegian credit portfolio and buyers in it. This is a chance to obtain in-depth experience in trade credit insurance and related products in a truly international and dynamic environment, advance your credit management skills, and broaden your knowledge across various industries.

 

Key responsibilities/What you do

 

• Credit analysis and grading of Norwegian companies, ranging from SMEs to large corporates.
• Gathering and evaluating information, either through direct contact with companies or via official sources such as credit information providers.
• Proactive portfolio monitoring to identify risks and opportunities.
• Writing detailed credit reports on Norwegian corporates with large exposures and presenting cases to the Nordic Credit Committee.
• Performing trade sector analysis to understand industry trends and risks.
• Underwriting (approving) credit limits for companies and setting strategies for exposure development.
• Communication with companies in our portfolio, clients, colleagues, and management internationally.
• Supporting ad-hoc tasks related to the credit portfolio, economic research, reporting, etc.

 

Key requirements/What you bring

 

Your personal qualifications are important to us, and you should therefore be able to recognize the following:

 

• Academic degree in accounting or finance, economics or similar
• Good knowledge of credit analysis and credit risk management
• Knowledge of Norwegian market, understanding of different industries-  characteristics and main drivers
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to make independent decisions and take responsibility
• Strong communication and presentation skills as the job involves high level of contacts with different stakeholders
• Good IT literacy, such as MS365
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Personal qualities required: sound judgment abilities and analytical mind, high level of integrity and responsibility, able to perform under pressure and handle volumes, willingness to learn, collaborative team player,
• We are looking for a candidate who possess a basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and is enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.
