PURPOSE

This Fixed Term Contract opportunity involves working on key project deliverables and managing, reviewing, recommending, and implementing product and business improvements that align with the strategic goals of the life insurance business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Role specific

  • Assist in the development of strategic product roadmaps and the creation of business cases for new growth initiatives and opportunities in Life Protection. This includes conducting market analysis and evaluating competitive positioning to aid senior management and the board in their decision-making processes.
  • Lead cross-functional project delivery across stakeholders including Marketing, Digital, Contact Centre, Policy Services, and Claims to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive implementation of agreed product and business changes, ensuring stakeholder alignment, clear documentation, and effective execution.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant Allianz policies and frameworks, including the Life Product Development Process & Product Governance Framework.
  • Support the execution of enhancements to life products, processes, and systems, ensuring changes meet business objectives and are effectively embedded.
  • Oversee end-to-end system change delivery  for life products, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, customer expectations, and risk/ contro standards.  
  • Prepare and support project reporting, updates, and materials for governance forums, working groups, and stakeholder briefings.
  • Coordinate and support the business response to regulatory and compliance-related deliverables as part of project execution.

KEY STAKEHOLDERS AND RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

  • Life Protection, Marketing, Contact Centre, Policy Services, Claims and other internal teams: Collaborate to support business process compliance, learning initiatives and delivery of business objectives.
  • Allianz Life: Develop and maintain working relationships to facilitate strategic outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and RG146 accredited (highly desirable)
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience in the life insurance and a detailed understanding of the product and the legal/regulatory and industry framework/codes.
  • Demonstrates commercial acumen and uses insights related to the market, competitors and the customer to identify opportunities and risks to enhance our overall business proposition.
  • Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information and takes corrective action.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting & communication tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
