REGIONAL FINANCIAL ANALYST

The position provides comprehensive insights into the LoB's financials & strategy and supports the respective business leaders. You will play a key role in building bridges between our Finance and Underwriting departments as well as sharing best practice within Global Performance Steering (GPS) and the wider finance community. This is an excellent career opportunity for someone who has experience within either Finance or Underwriting environment and can combine this with excellent stakeholder management and business acumen skills. Candidates who enjoy a highly innovative and proactive environment are likely to flourish in this role.

You'll be responsible for:

• Provide financial analysis and assessment on the financial performance of the designated business are-as, identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations
• Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision-making
• Perform regular P&L reporting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Support business leads providing a comprehensive view on regional financial performance of assigned areas
• customer requests and perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
• Support best-practice sharing and increase efficiencies, setting and harmonizing global standards
• Participate in projects and implement initiatives as required

         

Important to your success:

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years experience within the financial services industry, ideally P&C insurance or reinsurance
• Understanding of insurance; sector-specific financial statements and performance measurement
• Strong analytical thinking and numeracy: ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data, identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rap-idly distill key issues and to provide value-adding in-sights
• Strong communication & presentation skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders including senior management (both verbally and in writing).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to analyze da-ta effectively and convey compelling and engaging messages
• Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g. SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Comfortable working in a global team setup and maintaining effective remote relationships in a matrix environment
• Fluent in English and proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot is an added advantage.
