Solution Architect

Position Summary

 

An Solution Architect plays a crucial role in Allianz Technology as you are responsible for designing, communicating, and implementing the target architecture of the product(s) with Tribe or Squad members, ensuring its integrity and compliance with architectural standards, including business, application, infrastructure, data and security architecture.

 

You will support the Area or Tribe Lead to meet Allianz's needs and objectives, in definition of the technical roadmap, the management of technical debt, the management of other technical demands such as end of life of infrastructure, and in prioritizing technical/non-functional deliverables. You communicate the need for future technical skills required to the Area or Tribe Lead. You join a strong Centre of Expertise and collaborate into Community of Practices.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and developers, to understand Allianz's goals and requirements.
• Support architectural design of products: Support Tribes/Squad in identifying the architecture and technologies that best support the product design and development and in making aligned architectural decisions across the Tribes in the Area and across Areas where relevant.
• Evaluate existing systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions in the context of Allianz's transformation.
• Design and enforce architectural standards: Design and develop end-to-end technical solutions that align with Allianz's business objectives and technology standards.
• Create and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and guidelines for development teams, using ArchiMate notation and Arc42.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of the technical solutions by conducting regular assessments and audits, considering Allianz's service portfolio and evolving technology landscape.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend new solutions and drive innovation.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to evaluate and select third-party software and service components. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to assess the viability of proposed solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment within Allianz's technology community.

 

 

Key Requirements

 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as cross domain IT Architect.
• Experience in delivering IT Services for Retail and Commercial financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proficient in designing and implementing scalable and secure solutions using a variety of technologies, partiicularly natice Cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns and technologies, such as API management, ESB, or microservices.
• Experience in designing and implementing data architecture, including data modelling and database systems.
• Familiarity with Deployment process as code.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and ability to apply them in solution design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF or AWS, Azure Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.
