Associate Corporate Counsel, Amazon Music

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an exceptional Associate Corporate Counsel to support Amazon Music, Amazon's immersive audio entertainment service that deepens connections between fans, artists, and creators. From personalized music playlists to exclusive podcasts, concert livestreams to artist merch, Amazon Music is innovating at some of the most exciting intersections of music and culture. This role is expected to work primarily on product counseling and music licensing issues.

Key job responsibilities
You will empower innovation by supporting business leaders on product decisions, counseling on regulatory matters, and advising on music licensing. You will work directly with business leaders, providing strategic counsel and proactive legal guidance that balances risk management with business flexibility. You will empower Amazon Music to move fast and confidently, and be a trusted advisor on a range of complex legal and strategic issues

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
- Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- 4+ years of Technology Law experience
- Deep understanding of consumer law and regulations impacting subscription businesses

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
