DESCRIPTION:
Amazon is seeking an experienced professional to lead Last Mile Capacity Planning for our Brazil operations. This role will drive the evolution of our capacity planning capabilities, implementing sophisticated, data-driven frameworks that balance cost efficiency with service excellence.
The ideal candidate will establish productivity-based capacity models, develop structured planning frameworks, and implement optimization tools that enable sustainable operational efficiency across our Last Mile network. You will work closely with internal Volume Planning, Last Mile delivery program teams, Operations, Quality, Finance and Ops teams to create an integrated capacity planning framework.
Key job responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Own On The Road (OTR) Capacity planning for Brazil, defining share of Last Mile programs (channels) at strategic and tactical levels.
- Set capacity targets for each Last Mile channel, guiding teams on calculating route plans (where applicable) and volume plans for the short-term (W+1 - W+2) / mid-term (W+3 - W+13) / long-term (Above 3 months) horizons.
- Manage short term capacity per node type (1P and 3P operated), directly interfacing with program teams to ensure that requested capacity targets are met. Implement scalable Capacity gaps mitigation processes for the short term horizon.
- Create and scale volume vs capacity tracking mechanisms to indicate capacity gaps and track action items to ensure capacity for the short term horizon (W+1, W+2), bridging capacity gaps with other channels if necessary.
- Utilize and/or create tools to optimize volume share between channels, taking into consideration cost, productivity and availability. Drive operational cost optimization through productivity-based capacity modeling and efficient resource allocation.
- Manage peak events capacity plans (Black Friday, Prime Day, etc), strategically defining shares per channels according to flexibility, quality and cost, setting targets, tracking and communicating capacity commitments.
- Strengthen relationship with Channel teams (EDSP / AMPL / AMXL / DSP 2.0 / Flex / Hub) to ensure strategic alignment and partnership.
- Implement automated, structured planning tools and frameworks for capacity management. Create standardized processes and documentation to support scalable operations.
- Lead the OTR team, defining, enabling and tracking growth actions, ensuring job satisfaction and professional development of team members.
