DESCRIPTION:
Supports the 1P Lending program by owning end-to-end Profit & Loss (P&L) setup, driving Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) cycles including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and building unit economics frameworks to evaluate lending profitability at a per-loan and per-customer level. Partners cross-functionally with Business, Risk, Capital, and Accounting teams to deliver financial insights, establish governance mechanisms, and enable data-driven decision-making for program scaling across markets.
Key job responsibilities
P&L Ownership: Own end-to-end P&L setup, cost allocation, and revenue recognition for the 1P Lending program.
FP&A Planning: Drive OP1/OP2, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis aligned to business goals.
Unit Economics: Build per-loan and per-cohort profitability frameworks to evaluate contribution margins and cost-to-serve.
SQL and Data Analysis: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze large-scale lending datasets for reporting and deep dives.
Data-Backed Insights: Deliver actionable insights on origination volumes, delinquency, Net Interest Margin, and Expected Credit Loss to leadership.
Governance and Reviews: Support MFR, QFR, WBR, and Page-0 reporting, ensuring consistent P0 metric tracking and variance callouts.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Risk, Capital Markets, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury on financial assumptions and reconciliation.
Financial Modeling: Develop models for new product launches, pricing changes, and market expansion scenarios.
Process Automation: Automate reporting and planning workflows by improving SQL pipelines and system integrations (e.g., Hyperion, Cognos).
Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex financial data into crisp, executive-ready narratives for leadership reviews.
About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
