Finance Manager - M&A, Finance Operations

Salary: $95,400 – $163,200 Annually

DESCRIPTION:

The Finance Operations organization works with every part of Amazon providing the backbone systems and operational processes which enable Amazon to pay suppliers, invoice customers and report financial results. Through our services we drive financial and process improvements that deliver measurable value to the business and delight our global customers, vendors and employees.

The M&A Integration Manager will be a key member of a small team that leads efforts to integrated newly acquired businesses onto Amazon financial systems. By becoming a trusted subsidiary partner, the role helps subsidiaries make decisions that meet their operational and business objectives by crafting proposals, proactively identifying opportunities and sharing best practices. They will lead subsidiaries in designing process workflows, defining business requirements, testing technical solutions, and navigating the transition to new processes. They will collaborate cross-functionally with subsidiary stakeholders, finance, operations, technology, and product teams to bring access to the tools, services and training needed to deliver the right results and drive future innovation for our diverse subsidiary businesses.

Key job responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally leading strategic efforts to extend Finance Operations O2C services and tools to Amazon's acquired subsidiaries
- Develop subject matter expertise in Amazon's O2C processes and technology across lines of business
- Understand the subsidiary business and its operational and strategic priorities, know the goals and pain points to delivery on O2C requirements
- Deliver O2C process and technical projects including requirements definition, system testing, process documentation, training and change management
- Collaborate across Finance Operations functions to identify opportunities for new subsidiary service capabilities, develop and execute plans to take opportunities from idea to implementation
- Measure and monitor impact of integration programs, build relationships with system and process owners to drive improvements in user experience, cash flow, productivity and controllership
- Identify financial and operational risks to Finance Operations, the subsidiary and to Amazon, mitigate or reduce risk through improvement to integration methodology, services structure and system features
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, establish a regular cadence of engagement with project stakeholders and Finance Operations support teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
