Health Program Manager, Global Medical and Health Team

DESCRIPTION:

Join our Global Medical and Health (GMH) Team within Workplace Health & Safety, to drive occupational health excellence within Amazon's European operations. As Health Program Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation and management of occupational health initiatives across the EU, ensuring alignment with global standards and country-specific regulations while working closely with regional and country-level leadership to support employee health and well-being.

Key job responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation changes affecting workplace health and ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and local health, safety, and medical regulations
- Define, monitor, and report health-related metrics to GMH Leadership to measure program success, identify areas for improvement and inform health strategies
- Support the proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of workplace health risks including physical and psycho-social factors to safeguard employee well-being
- Provide subject matter expertise on Occupational Health Programs, offering guidance to stakeholders and liaising with local authorities and occupational health bodies
- Implement and manage comprehensive occupational health services and programs within assigned areas of responsibility, including vendor management, emergency response protocols and preventive measures

A day in the life
As part of the Global Medical and Health Team, you'll work on the implementation and ongoing enhancement of occupational health programs across our European operations network. You'll focus on program management and strategic implementation of health initiatives while analyzing health data to identify focus areas. Your day involves ensuring compliance with workplace health regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute tailored health programs. You'll conduct site visits to roll out new health projects and ensure standards are being met, leveraging your knowledge of EU and country-specific health and safety regulations. Working closely with occupational health providers, authorities, and internal stakeholders, you'll drive continuous improvement through program management and strategic planning. Your expertise in occupational health and understanding of both global Amazon standards and local requirements will be essential in fostering a culture focused on employee health and well-being.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Master's degree in occupational health, health sciences, public health, or related field
- Knowledge of EU health and safety regulatory frameworks, with the ability to navigate multi-country compliance requirements
- Professional working proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English.
- Experience in project management and occupational health program implementation
- Proficiency and experience with data analysis and reporting tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience implementing process improvements
- Experience in business process improvement, Lean or Six Sigma
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian
- Experience in health management in a retail logistics, manufacturing or production environment
