This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference through data analysis, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. As a Program Manager II, you'll leverage your analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and influence teams to implement changes that improve operational efficiency.

In this role, you'll be at the intersection of data, process, and execution, working with operational teams across Europe to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to dive deep into data, identify patterns, and translate insights into actionable plans will be crucial for success. You'll partner with senior stakeholders to implement long-term initiatives that reduce cost to serve while maintaining Amazon's commitment to operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities
Manage and prioritize program life-cycles that are often complex and cross-functional, delivering projects that achieve network-impacting cost savings across multiple organizations.
Define new cost-saving initiatives through detailed process and data analysis, setting clear objectives and driving improvements quantified with relevant metrics.
Lead the development and execution of variable cost reduction strategies by analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and implementing sustainable improvements.
Partner with various stakeholders including operations, finance, engineering, and leadership teams to build consensus and influence the implementation of process changes.
Apply relevant tools and mechanisms to track progress, measure results, and communicate status to all stakeholders through regular business reviews, escalating issues when required.

A day in the life
Your typical day involves executing reporting and standard work for your areas of responsibility, diving deep into data to identify cost-saving opportunities and track the progress of ongoing initiatives. You'll attend Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) where you'll present progress updates, share insights from your analysis, and propose strategic long-term solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement process improvements and influence teams to adopt new approaches that reduce variable costs.

About the team
Our team is located in Europe but operates across Europe and Japan, working closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce cost to serve. We take pride in our ability to analyze complex operational challenges and develop practical solutions that deliver measurable results. The team focuses on identifying and implementing innovative approaches to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce variable costs while maintaining excellent service standards. We collaborate with multiple departments and functions, giving team members exposure to various aspects of Amazon's operations and opportunities to make a significant impact on the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in operations or strong understanding of operational processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in program management and developing long-term strategies for continuous process improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with data query platforms such as Hubble preferred.
