DESCRIPTION:
Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead the Cost of Business Waste (CBW) charter for IN AMXL Operations. CBW is the central mechanism to track and reduce net cost-to-serve across the AMXL fulfillment network - driving down inefficiencies in damages, network losses, concessions, and material damage rates to directly impact the P&L bottom line of the business.
This is a highly ambiguous, high-impact role that provides a platform to experiment, innovate, and build scalable mechanisms across multiple workstreams. The Sr. PM will own OP-linked goals across Damages, Network Losses, MDR, and Concessions - operating as the single-threaded owner for cost-of-waste reduction across the AMXL network.
The Sr. Program Manager will:
- Own and deliver P&L savings by reducing cost of business waste across AMXL, directly impacting the bottom-line growth of the business
- Lead multiple NL metrics linked with OP goals - establishing targets, tracking mechanisms, and path-to-green recovery plans for Damages, IFIT/FCHO/Trans-HO, MDR, and Concessions
- Identify opportunities through deep-dive data analysis, define solutions, secure leadership buy-in, and prioritize resources for high-impact programs
- Build and operationalize cross-functional mechanisms working with a plethora of stakeholders including Category, Operations, Network Logistics, Finance, ReCommerce, L&D, and Transportation teams
- Design and implement scalable frameworks for loss prevention, damage reduction, and recovery - benchmarking against Core network best practices and adapting for AMXL-specific challenges
- Drive accountability across stakeholder teams through data-driven governance frameworks (WBRs, MBRs) for sustained performance improvement
- Operate in a highly ambiguous environment - structuring ill-defined problems, building v1 solutions, and iterating rapidly based on outcomes
- Deliver through influence rather than authority, using quantitative and qualitative data to align teams with often conflicting KPIs toward shared cost-reduction outcomes
Key traits required for the role:
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify white-space opportunities and build programs from zero-to-one in ambiguous environments
- Deeply data-driven - comfortable operating large and complex datasets for insight generation, root cause analysis, and business case development
- Financial acumen - ability to connect operational metrics to P&L impact and articulate savings in INR terms that resonate with Finance and leadership
- Extensive stakeholder management and relationship building across diverse functions (Ops, NL, Finance, Category, Tech)
- Compelling written and oral communication - ability to write narratives and present to senior leadership with clarity and conviction
- Customer and seller centric- understanding that cost reduction must not come at the expense of experience
- Enthusiastic about solving complex, multi-variable problems where the "right answer" is not immediately obvious
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and competing demands
- Willingness to roll up sleeves, go to the gemba, and take ownership of emerging operational issues
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
