Program Manager, Contract Routing & Vendor Complia...

United States , Bellevue
Salary: $80,200 – $97,400 Annually

DESCRIPTION:

Are you a program manager who sees a manual process and immediately thinks "how can we automate that?" In this role, you will own the end-to-end contract routing lifecycle and vendor compliance onboarding for Amazon's Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement organization, while designing and delivering automation solutions that make our operations faster and more scalable.

This role sits at a critical point in Amazon's flywheel: by accelerating how we contract and onboard transportation providers, you directly enable faster network expansion, lower delivery costs, and ultimately a better customer experience. Every day of cycle time you eliminate from contract routing means capacity comes online sooner, selection grows, and the flywheel spins faster.

Your work combines operational execution with continuous improvement, partnering across legal, compliance, and operations teams to eliminate manual effort, reduce cycle time, and scale procurement processes that support Amazon's global logistics network.

Key job responsibilities
- Review incoming contracts for completeness and accuracy, route them to appropriate signatories through the contract management system, and manage the approval workflow end-to-end, proactively resolving bottlenecks and ensuring service level adherence

- Execute vendor compliance due diligence, verification checks, and payment platform setup for new providers, ensuring they are compliant and payment-ready before onboarding

- Identify, scope, and deliver automation and efficiency projects within contract routing, vendor onboarding, and compliance workflows, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to eliminate manual touchpoints, reduce cycle time, and scale solutions across the organization

- Build and maintain relationships with partners across legal, compliance, operations, and contract management teams to collaboratively surface pain points, align on improvement priorities, and co-develop solutions that drive measurable efficiency gains

- Coordinate learning and development intake and delivery across internal training platforms and programs, maintaining resources and ensuring team development needs are met in alignment with organizational priorities

A day in the life
Your day might begin with processing contract routing requests and completing compliance checks. These are your operational baseline and should run efficiently. The majority of your focus, however, is dedicated to improvement work: mapping current-state workflows, identifying where manual effort can be eliminated, building business cases for automation solutions, and partnering with teams across contract management and shared operations to pilot and implement changes. You will track project milestones, report progress against efficiency targets, and continuously look for the next opportunity to streamline how the team operates.
