DESCRIPTION:

FOAA PMO drives scale and productivity for FOAA by optimizing and automating processes. The key inputs driven by the team are i) Driving large scale automation programs by partnering with Amazon Tech teams, Accounting, Finance Operations (FinOps) and FOAA users, ii) Accelerating business process re-engineering and lean six sigma culture in FOAA to transform FOAA processes by driving efficiencies and controllership and iii) Streamlining FOAA engagement with external teams to ensure project and change management initiatives are optimized for FOAA

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will work on global business strategic projects to define and create brand new processes, ensure their adherence to the high controllership standards of the company and oversee their implementation and adoption over time. You will work with exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people who believe partnership is critical to customer success. You will have opportunities to solve significant business problems through process re-engineering and innovative technology. You will also develop and drive transformational financial initiatives along with a cross-functional team of senior financial analysts, business intelligence engineers, and process/project managers. This is a chance to work hard driving financial transformation activities across FOAA's three shared service centers in Costa Rica, China and India.

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2.500+ gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

A day in the life
The successful candidate must be able to think strategically, perform dive deep analytics on existing processes, identify re-engineering activities, and drive enterprise level new technology delivery. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies that are grounded in data-based recommendations. This role has regular interaction with senior leaders and therefore requires good interpersonal and communication skills.

About the team
Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking a Sr. Program manager to support project requirements and implementation in FOAA Program management organization (PMO).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
