Proposal Pricing Lead, WWPS Strategic Pursuit Team

United States , Arlington
Salary: $92,400 – $160,000 Annually

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Proposal Pricing Lead to join the Worldwide Public Sector Pricing Team as a key resource in driving task order pricing efforts. In this position, the candidate will own the pricing volumes and models for our most strategic contracts. The candidate will support the pricing process, manage compliance with customer requirements and company policy, and oversee proposal pricing deliverables. They will be directly involved in strengthening our pricing methodologies, practices, and processes. They will support competitive price analysis and coordinate with solution architects, legal, and other internal stakeholders to develop pricing responses that best meet our customers' needs. This is an amazing opportunity for someone seeking a path to expand their career and grow with a dynamic company!

Key job responsibilities
• Support task order pricing strategy and the resulting price volume, including: the basis of estimate; total evaluated price; pricing scenarios; price narrative; and bid assumptions

• Develop cost and pricing models that align with deal requirements and customer evaluation criteria

• Understand AWS customers' and partners' business and technical requirements; work closely with internal teams to develop appropriate pricing terms to address those requirements

• Optimize existing processes and develop new, scalable, and repeatable processes and tools that reflect best pricing-practices; create standard templates that scale to meet growing business needs

• Coordinate pricing with AWS service teams, AWS Professional Services, and AWS Finance teams

A day in the life
A typical day as a Price Proposal Lead starts with a morning review of active task order timelines, checking deadlines across multiple concurrent bids, and prioritizing what needs attention first. You dive into an Excel-based pricing model, refining cost assumptions and aligning labor categories with a new solicitation's evaluation criteria.

By mid-morning, you're in a working session with solution architects, translating complex technical requirements into defensible cost estimates and pricing narratives. Around midday, the focus shifts to cross-functional coordination: syncing with AWS Finance on internal approval documentation, aligning with product teams on current service pricing, or collaborating with legal and partner organizations on contract terms and teaming arrangements.

Late in the afternoon, you turn to process improvement, building scalable templates, streamlining pricing workflows, or documenting best practices that will accelerate future proposals. Throughout the day, you balance tight government deadlines, shifting priorities, and the need to deliver pricing responses that are both compliant with FAR requirements and competitive in the marketplace.
