The RISC team charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. In this role, you will work closely with legal, business teams, selling partner experience and support teams, operational excellence, product, BI and data science/engineering teams to deliver high-impact end-to-end safety and compliance solutions. Think of this role as a non-technical "solution architect" where you will be given autonomy to develop strategies and build effective controls to ensure product safety and compliance worldwide.
The Risk Manager II drives the development and implementation of tools and programs that advance the store's global safety and compliance efforts. This role requires influencing cross-functional stakeholders, supporting strategic projects with legal and business partners, and contributing to team initiatives while ensuring compliance with Amazon quality standards. The Risk Manager II will support the development of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and is expected to meet safety and regulatory compliance program expectations.
Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments for current functions and operational processes, documenting existing processes and reviewing standard operating procedures to identify gaps in safety and compliance controls, supporting the establishment and maintenance of process controls to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards, and collaborating with legal, technical, and business teams to support safety and compliance solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
