In the Alexa Excellence ALICE (AI Logistics for Infrastructure, Cost & Efficiency) team, we drive the infrastructure orchestration, efficiency and cost optimization mechanisms behind products such as Alexa+; striving to be the world's most capable AI personal assistant. We're seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer who will be a technical BI leader on the ALICE India team, building robust, scalable analytics solutions that inform infrastructure investment decisions across Alexa and Amazon leadership.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end BI strategy across ALICE's portfolio of infrastructure optimization products, including cost visibility, GPU capacity planning, infrastructure waste identification, and service health monitoring
- Design and implement scalable dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions that provide visibility into Alexa's infrastructure spend and GPU utilization
- Build and maintain data pipelines and self-service analytics capabilities that empower service owners across Alexa to analyze, forecast, and manage their infrastructure usage
- Define metrics frameworks, KPIs, and data governance standards across ALICE products
- Collaborate with SDEs and Data Engineers to implement data architecture and automate analytical processes
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership (WBRs/MBRs/QBRs)
- Mentor team members in BI architecture, data modeling, and analytics best practices
- Drive operational excellence for BI solutions: reliability, data quality, and self-service access

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- 5+ years of developing automated reporting experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
