Senior Finance Analyst, AWS Account Receivable

DESCRIPTION:

We are part of the global Amazon Web Services Financial Operations organization, operating from Bratislava and Prague. We manage collections across a diverse portfolio of Amazon Web Services customers, with a focus on operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement. We partner closely with global Financial Operations sites, process improvement organizations, and technology teams to deliver best-in-class collections outcomes. We are looking for a colleague who will serve as our Collections subject matter expert - someone who combines deep domain knowledge with a technical and analytical mindset to drive measurable improvements across the collections function. You are passionate about automation, data, and continuous improvement, and you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Base pay for this position starts from 2,400 EUR gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Key job responsibilities
Domain Expertise and Process Excellence:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for
- Amazon Web Services Collections processes, tools, and best practices
- Provide guidance and escalation support to the broader team
- Collaborate with Amazon Customer Excellence System (Process Improvement) organization to standardize and optimize operational workflows
- Own and deliver improvement initiatives end-to-end with measurable business impact
Automation and Technology:
- Drive small to mid-scale automation projects by identifying process gaps, quantifying opportunities, and proposing solutions
- Lead new tool adoption and drive Collect tool utilization across the team to optimize workflows
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools and technologies to increase operational efficiency
- Calculate entitlements and build business cases for automation investment
Analytics and Reporting:
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to enable data-driven decision-making and track initiative outcomes
Collaboration and Global Partnership:
- Partner with Financial Operations sites and leaders globally to align on best practices and drive consistency
Training and Enablement:
- Develop and deliver training on new tools, processes, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Drive training engagement and knowledge sharing across the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Fluent English
- 3+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or financial operations
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vertical lookup, macros, and data modeling
- Demonstrated experience delivering process improvement or automation projects end-to-end
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Artificial intelligence and machine learning literacy, including familiarity with generative artificial intelligence tools and their practical applications in operations
- Hands-on automation experience with robotic process automation, scripting, or low-code/no-code platforms
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with process improvement, engineering, or product teams
- Experience with collections tools (for example, Collect) and enterprise resource planning systems
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as QuickSight or Tableau
- Track record of developing and delivering training programs
- Experience working in a global, multi-site environment
