EU Central Finance is looking for a Senior Finance analyst to own our recurring financial mechanisms that keep senior leadership informed and the business on performance and plan.
This is a high-visibility, high-accountability role. You will work directly with the Sr Manager and alongside an experienced team member to deliver Month end close Reviews, financial narratives, and cross-functional planning cycles. You are expected to own your workstreams end-to-end.

Key job responsibilities
• Collecting, analyzing and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions
• Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data
• Assist with development, and implementation of policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
• Assist in the development of all weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation and improving the use and ease of interpretation by your business partners
• Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely


A day in the life
You will own various mechanisms that support teams in forecasting and analyzing actual financial results, managing the reporting of Amazon's monthly and quarterly financial reviews, coordinating cross-functions and leading process improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, or experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience using data analysis to drive business decisions
- Experience designing and implementing controls or experience performing audits over financial reporting environment
- Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A (at multinational organisation.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- MBA, or CPA
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
