Software Development Manager

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is the Amazon service for world-wide sellers that offers access to Amazon's vast distribution network as a service. As a leader within FBA, you will own critical systems that enable sellers to successfully list and manage their inventory on Amazon's fulfillment network. You'll drive the technical strategy and execution for systems that serve millions of sellers worldwide, leading initiatives that improve the listing experience, enhance platform reliability, and unlock new growth opportunities. Your work will directly impact how sellers of all sizes-from individual entrepreneurs to enterprise businesses-leverage Amazon's fulfillment infrastructure to scale their operations. This leader will invent new ways to deliver value for sellers and their products, while leveraging the scale and innovation of technology from across the Amazon family, including AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
