DESCRIPTION:
The role of a Sr. Creative Packaging Program Manager is to drive the execution of end to end printed packaging in support of eero product launches and international expansion. This includes schedule creation and coordination with inter-disciplinary teams to ensure packaging artwork is developed and approved on-time. In addition to creating the packaging plan, which includes a global workback schedule for artwork development in various regions, the role requires management in the creation of technical publications, print on demand (POD) labels, and product labels under the guidance of legal, compliance, brand, marketing, and leadership.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, brand, product, legal, compliance, and operations to determine schedule for on-box packaging and label content for eero programs
- Directly responsible to own and communicate the artwork schedule to the overall hardware program team to ensure the plan is in alignment.
- Lead packaging ID and packaging artwork approval meetings with CEO & CMO
- Develop systems that improve how existing and future packaging & label content is reviewed, approved, & released for production
- Managing Bill of Materials (BOM) change control for packaging materials
- Management and approval of printed mechanical artworks and supplier created softproofs to ensure they are production ready and color controlled
- Understanding of multiple printing processes (offset, flexography, screen printing) and materials to align with creative strategy and lead decisions based on their strengths and limitations
- Participate in worldwide sku creation and drive solutions on simplifying sku strategy
- Managing product, legal, and sustainability claims for packaging, as well as substantiation towards those claims in collaboration with internal legal stakeholders
- Managing international packaging partners in China and Vietnam and lead bi-weekly status meetings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
- Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management
- 8+ years of experience in design/packaging program management, print production, or packaging development
- Experience managing cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders (e.g., marketing, legal, compliance, operations, or engineering)
- Experience with print production processes (e.g., offset, flexography, or screen printing) and mechanical artwork approval workflows.
- Experience partnering with technical partners for design implementation
