Sr. Product Manager - Tech, AMXL Product Strategy

Salary: $151,200 – $204,600 Annually

DESCRIPTION:

Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges in large-scale delivery and fulfillment systems? The AMXL Product Strategy team is looking for a Product Manager - Technical to help define and drive externalization solutions that expand Heavy Bulky delivery capabilities to new channels and partners. In this role, you will work across multiple externalization programs (e.g., ASCS, SWA, MCF, AWD) to define technical requirements and drive implementation of solutions that unlock new revenue streams and growth opportunities for the Heavy Bulky business. You will also partner with AMXL Data Science and Analytics to develop customer segmentation models and product strategies that inform which externalization channels to prioritize and how to scale them effectively.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and drive technical requirements for externalization platform architecture, including API design, partner integration frameworks, and delivery system interoperability
- Own technical requirements for customer segmentation analytics that inform externalization strategy, including dashboard development and insights delivery
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement system integrations that enable external partner onboarding and delivery execution
- Contribute to technical roadmaps for externalization initiatives, including experimentation design and A/B testing to validate partner delivery models
- Define technical solutions that ensure external partner systems meet performance, scalability, and quality standards consistent with Amazon's customer experience bar
- Author Technical BRDs and PRFAQs that articulate system requirements, integration strategies, and externalization use cases
- Define and track technical KPIs and business metrics that measure externalization program health, partner performance, and customer experience
- Partner with business teams to translate customer segmentation insights into actionable externalization growth strategies
- Up to 10% travel required


A day in the life
- Joining cross-functional meetings with Operations, Transportation, and Tech teams to gather requirements and align on solutions for externalizing Heavy Bulky delivery capabilities to third-party partners
- Analyzing operational metrics, partner performance data, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improving externalization workflows, using data-driven insights to prioritize product features that maintain delivery quality across external channels
- Partnering with ML/AI teams to develop and refine prediction models for delivery times across external partner networks, accounting for variables like item size, building access, partner capacity, and delivery complexity
- Participating in weekly product review meetings with leadership, presenting progress on externalization initiatives and gathering feedback on proposed roadmap changes
- Collaborating with fellow Product Managers and Product Managers - Technical on the AMXL Product Strategy team to innovate on behalf of the end-to-end AMXL business, building features that make Heavy Bulky purchases more seamless for customers regardless of fulfillment channel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
- Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
