DESCRIPTION:

Are you passionate about transforming infrastructure delivery through technology? GOSS Tech (GOSST), part of Global Operations Shared Services (GOSS), builds solutions enabling teams worldwide to plan, deliver, and operate Amazon's network of fulfillment centers, and facilities. You'll help develop technology spanning site selection, construction execution, capital management, and facility operations. We're on a mission to transform infrastructure delivery from a logistics challenge into a data-driven science.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives that require deep technical coordination across multiple pillars. This role will serve as a critical bridge between technical execution and strategic business objectives, ensuring technical feasibility aligns with business commitments while driving execution excellence.


Key job responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership and Planning
•Support 3-Year Plan (3YP), Operating Plan (OP1 and OP2), and quarterly planning processes with technical perspective
•Partner with pillar leads, architects, and VP stakeholders to ensure technical alignment with strategic objectives
•Conduct risk analysis on cross-pillar technical dependencies and develop mitigation plans
•Build multi-year resource models showing technical capacity needs across pillars
•Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership
Technical Depth and Solution Scoping
•Facilitate technical trade-off discussions, translating technical options into business terms for leadership decision-making
•Challenge overly optimistic technical timelines, validate capacity exists to deliver on commitments, and identify skill gaps
•Facilitate resolution of technical conflicts and escalate critical technical issues with recommended solutions
•Own and continuously improve technical program management processes and frameworks
•Mentor and develop other TPMs and PMTs on technical program management best practices
•Drive adoption of standardized tools, templates, and processes across the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience coordinating between technical teams, peers and business stakeholders

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
