Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. Amazon Web Services has supported over 10,000 local startups and has provided cloud skills training to over 700,000 talents. AWS Startup BD team works directly with many of the top startups in the world. We spend our days interfacing with founders of startups, top accelerator and incubator leadership teams, many early stage angel and VC investors, and navigating cross AWS an d Amazon to enable startups to realize outsized success. The team is comprised of rare group of high caliber founders, venture investors and accelerator professionals, many of who have extensive global
background, to drive high impact initiatives across AWS to build the startup ecosystem in Greater China region and support the next generation of startup entrepreneurs.
This is a great opportunity to work for one of the fastest growing startups of all time (that is, Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon.com) while being plugged into the center of the global startup ecosystem and disruptive technology evolution that is reshaping and redefining how we live. We're hiring for roles across major startup hubs in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and seeking driven and talented team members who are passionate about startup life and helping startup founders.

We're inviting you to join our team as Startup Business Development Manager to partner strategically with some of the most innovative and highest potential startups in Great China region. You will generally entail working with a startup's executive team to understand their strategic priorities on technology, products, go to market, expansion plans, and other areas of strategic importance and then bring the global resources of Amazon (not just AWS) to the table to see how we can accelerate their success and business growth.

Key job responsibilities
- Passionate about startups and innovation. Evangelize AWS' value to startup founders and ensure they have full awareness and access to the full spectrum of the resources and services AWS/Amazon has to offer.
- Cultivate long-term trusted relationship with VCs, A&Is, Startup Communities as their single point of contact of all things AWS, help them understand AWS benefits and where there may be exciting opportunities for their startups.
- Participate actively in startup events of all kinds to identify high potential startups and build personal relationship to startup founders and influencers. Be an influencer in the community.
- Work closely with Account team to ensure founders have the technical and business resource required for business growth and identifying additional opportunities for them to work more deeply with AWS and other Amazon business units.
- Keep abreast with VC investment trend and cutting--edge technologies, able to identify edge technologies, future unicorns at early stage. Provide analysis on market trending, emerging opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
