DESCRIPTION:
oProvides Logistics support across major operations company-wide (Perishables Purchasing)
oContributes to development of the organization's overall supply and logistics strategy.
oSupports various launch activities by performing services including:
Attends and participates in regional, national and inter-team meetings
Maintaining OneNote updates (SOP's)
Forecasting - Logistics
oIdentifies, evaluates and capitalizes on opportunities to reduce costs by improving buying patterns and supply channels through collaboration with purchasing
oAccurately manages email flow, maintains good records of communications and provides documentation as required to support inquiries and help with issue resolution
oCompiles data, ensures accuracy and performs in-depth analysis as needed
oAnalyzes and interprets data results and communicates findings to the team
oCommunicates all relevant information and keeps everyone on the same page at all times; fosters collaboration with the group to lower cost of goods to WFM
oAssists with the development of new reporting tools to be used by buying teams (global and regional, to support purchasing operational needs and executive decision-making)
oPrepares materials and supports buyer communication as needed
oMonitors the functional activity processes and outcomes; recommend areas for continuous improvement
oWith oversight, performs the truck forecasting tasks, particularly for holiday planning
oAssists with managing transportation carriers
oSupports team leadership by communicating truck planning issues, interpreting weekly reports and resolving arrival conflicts
oCommunicates, represents, and upholds WFM's core values and business philosophy to Team Members and vendor/supply/carrier partners
oProvides data and works as liaison for WFM Purchasing team
oMonitors the trucking and delivery schedules to proactively identify potential issues and conflicts for all regions
oWorks with trucking, delivery, storage, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
oReviews periodic reports for patterns, trends, and systemic issues; communicating improvement recommendations to Senior Team Leader
oDrives improvement in key performance metrics, such as order fill rate, on-time delivery, inventory turns, service levels at shelf, returns, and inventory levels versus budget.
oTracks and reports on key metrics on a regular basis.
oResponsible for daily tracking of load status while in transit, understanding and documenting dwell time at pick up and delivery locations.
oEnsures optimal use of processes and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the Transportation Management System (TMS)
oMaintains complete and accurate records of all transactions and projections.
oAssist with planning and execution of Transportation Procurement RFPs

oAdvanced knowledge of inventory management, carrier relations, ordering and disposition processes and standards
oAdvanced proficiency with standard ordering, delivery, trucking and transportation practices and procedures.

oAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

oPossesses deep understanding of the WFM organizations structure, hierarchy and approval levels
oUnderstands and influences the types and timing of various departmental deadlines and events
oUnderstands how Logistics decision and recommendations may impact third-party business and operations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- 1+ years of supply chain experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
