Description

Job Title: Graduate Submarines Project Management 

Location: Barrow (Cumbria). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description

You may support a wide range of tasks such as controlling budgets and expenditure while also contributing to reporting, decision making and the governance of change within projects. Your role may involve managing project progress, working with diverse stakeholders, identifying emerging issues and trends, meeting contractual requirements and engaging with customers. You could also review performance and identify risks to help optimise project success. Throughout the role you will receive support to develop a broad set of skills and business experience to help you succeed in this field.

Core Duties

  • Able to perform non-complex project reporting and scheduling.
  • Query resolution of basic and routine problems and attend on the job training as appropriate.
  • Develop a knowledge of business processes and procedures.
  • Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages.
  • Accountable as a member of the project management team for supporting development and implementation of appropriately tailored project management practices.

Qualification requirements

You must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree or a pass at master’s level in the following subjects: Project Management, Mathematics, IT, English, Engineering, Science or Business – including Law Psychology, Sociology & Humanities.

Start date: 25th January 2027 Length of contract: Permanent contract
