Marketing Associate

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Enhance supplier relations through development, communication, and monitoring of annual and monthly business plans.
  • Understand and communicate the supplier’s marketing plans and strategies to managers, sales and delivery teams.
  • Plan and monitor special events, work with’s, and customer contact. Maximize consumer sampling opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with the brand managers on upcoming events, promotions and opportunities to advance the business in the market.
  • Involve supplier alliances and sponsorships with professional teams, social groups, fan clubs and industry organizations.
  • Be well versed with sales data systems in order to: prepare targeted plans, track activity, and report results versus goals.
  • Assist with inventory by monitoring seasonal and special order inventory levels. Work with suppliers and brand managers to create reliable suggested orders to assist the Purchasing Manager.
  • Monitor accounts to verify sales execution in conjunction with planned expectation.
  • Report execution deficiencies to sales management.
  • Manage the Point of Sale budget and work closely with suppliers on the order by providing suggestions that work in conjunction with retail needs.
  • Assure that all brand related activity requiring supplier reimbursement is correctly documented and provided to accounting on a timely basis.
  • Develop and distribute internal and external sales materials and newsletters.
  • Assist with Chain contract submission.
  • Manage price letter updates and sales teams notifications.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of marketing experience
  • Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft office experience preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Ability to communicate with customers, management and co workers
  • Strong presentation skills either one on one or in a group setting
  • College degree preferred
  • Valid drivers license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance with at least the minimum state required coverage levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
